MESSAGE FROM OWNER

My sweet little girl Kitty (aka Kiki) has never gone missing. She and her nearly identical sister are both indoor/outdoor cats. Both have AirTag breakaway collars but hers fell off. I found it outside today (it’s fallen off before and I had just ordered new ones). She is a very sweet baby, sensitive and slightly dramatic with her vocals…one of her cute charms. The thought of her out there lost, without food/water and the comforts and safety of , breaks my heart. Her sister Röca knows what’s going on and is trying to comfort me. My nerves are wrecked. Fortunately, there is one very distinct way to identify her visually. She recently went to the vet and the base of her tail was shaved. It’s easy to spot. Please come baby!

DESCRIPTION

Kitty (aka KiKi) is a Tabby. The base of her tail was very recently shaved at the vet. She is two years old and has a very healthy, sort of husky body. Her coat colors consist of brown, black, gray and some orange with stripe patterns. She lost her collar but is microchipped. However I’m unsure if I registered it correctly

How to find a lost cat. Watch the video, then read the comments below for more helpful hints. https://youtu.be/g2eCoC63B9I Things to do if you've lost a cat: Put out smelly clothing of person cat likes best. Leave garage door or some way back inside open if possible. If you can safely leave a door or window open while you’re home (no other pets), sometimes cats will return on their own. Check under bushes and cars with flashlight early in the morning and at night, the light reflects off the eyes. Also point a laser pointer at the ground by bushes at night. Rattle treat bag or dry kibble at usual feeding time. Kitty is probably close by. Call for kitty at dusk and dawn, and/or usual mealtimes. Spend as much time searching. Have neighbors check garages and sheds. Check all your closets, garage, under beds and furniture, pantry, behind sheds, etc. Make giant neon posters and post at every intersection four way stop going N, S, E, and W. Cross post to other Lost & Found sites. Post on Nextdoor. Check SD Humane, Animal Control, Pawboost, Craigslist (beware of scammers) and other on line pet sites. Use the Neighbors App by Ring or the Citizen app if you have either. Keep looking. Don’t give up and don’t depend on others. Good luck! 🌻
