MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Chiku is my sweet baby girl, she and I have a really special bond and I know she wouldn't run away unless she was hurt or catnapped. People like to mess with black cats sometimes and I'm very worried about her safety. Please text or call if you've seen her. ????????

DESCRIPTION

Small long haired black kitty with auburn underfur. She's also got a small clip on her right ear but is NOT FERREL. If you see her please give her some food and water (ideally wet pate) but try and pet her and she'll likely bolt. Please contact me ASAP if you catch sight of her and snap a photo if you can. THANK YOU!!

Laurie Dodt Not yet. I just got back from SJ Animal Care Center and they assured me they would call me if she is brought in, alive or not. So I'm still keeping hope alive that she will find her way home.

Lisa Bocci I'm going to the animal shelter today to see if she's there. Someone else said they thought they saw her dead body in front of her house yesterday and animal control came before she got a close enough look to see if she had a tipped ear. The saddest part is she's not ferral nor is she a stray. I trapped and released her in 2015 because I thought she was a stray when she kept getting pregnant and finding her way to my patio with her kittens. Her mom (my neighbor) wound up taking her back inside after she was spayed becuase she got a terrible infection from the procedure and went home to her. She was indoors for 5 years after that and my neighbor and i became friends over the exchange. It turned out that Chiku's son and mom (living with my neighbor also) bullied her in the home so escaped again and my neighbor told me right away. She soon returned to my patio and we spent a couple hours together most evenings through the pandmeic together on my patio because I took my laptop out there and watched a show or a movie with her every night for months. I got her set her with weather proof everything in the winter. She's been coming to my house for breakfast, afternoon greenies and dinner every day for 3 years now. She hangs in her fence bed most days when she's not out catting around. She was finally accepted by my 2 indoor cats about 4 months ago and started coming in and out with confidence daily about 2 months ago, (complete with sleeping on the pillow by my head at night.) Now after all our work together and sweet cuddles, she's just gone.

Lisa Bocci she's technically not my kitty...she's my neighbors cat but she adopted me and basically lives on my patio during the day and comes in at night. She seems to get her feelings hurt when I go out of town even though I always have my petsitters feed her when I'm gone. I was away for a day and a half this time and she was here the day I got back but Mia when I got home around 1am. Her owner (my neighbor friend) saw her at 7:45pm on Sunday that's how know the timing of her last sighting. We are both pretty worried. She's such a sweet girl. If she makes it back I will get a name collar in her at the very least.
