♦️ Watch out for SCAMMERS!! They are mean. Don’t fall for their BS‼️ 🚩 You NEVER have to pay a finder’s fee to get your pet back (except from a shelter.) 🚩They might say something like “I got your dog,” then nothing else. 🚩If you don’t respond the way they want you to, hey may tell you your pet is dead and some gruesome detail when it’s not true. 🚩They will try to blackmail you. 🚩Watch out for the Google code scam too. 🚩Don’t send gift cards to anybody. 🚩Watch out for sympathy posts suggesting you contact someone who “helped them find their dog or cat ” who is on Instagram. 🚩Besides Instagram, scammers are referring people to ONLY texting of out of area numbers. 🚩BEWARE of the people saying “please contact or PM me” but nothing else on the post. Scammers will do this to get you out of the public eye so no one can tell you they are a scammer. They should be able to say anything & everything on the post! 🚩One of the latest scams I have seen is from “paws navigators.” I had checked the angry 😠 emoji on this scammer page on all their posts as to try to alert potential victims. A gal contacted me asking if I thought what they proposed was a scam. Good for her. She saved herself from being victimized. Here is part of her message to me. 🚩If it’s too good to be true then it is, and it’s more than likely a scam! Be Aware🐾
