Maria Payne Fink female cats can go into heat as young as 3.5 months of age. 😞 It's best to get cats fixed by 5 months of age. She is probably in heat and has gone to look for a boyfriend, or... If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Since she's not microchipped, give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case she turns up. Since she's not spayed, ask them all about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case she turns up at a colony somewhere looking for a boyfriend. Ask your neighbors all over the neighborhood to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask all of them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time she went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Walk the neighborhood (as far as you can) in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Look up in trees in case she was chased coming home. Call her in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if she likes that kind of stuff. If she's injured or scared, she's probably hunkered down and hiding but she may not answer you when you call - that's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. Put her beds/ blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When she comes home, keep her inside and get her spayed and microchipped ASAP and be sure to register the chip online. You might consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep her safely in your yard (both can be DIY). Good luck ❤️
