I found this deceased dog around 6:00am this morning. He was laying between both west bound lanes on Vintage Park, just west of Caymus. I moved him off the road and placed him under the tree. He had no collar. I went back and put a small yellow hand towel on him so that he is visible. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much for helping and sharing🙏🙏🙌🙌🫡🫡I know it is hard and I know moving a deceased body is not easy, you made me glad by covering him/her with a towel that was your respect towards that fur baby. I personally went through that with a cat, but I used my small blanket to cover the kitty deceased’s body because it was winter. It is not easy I know.🙏🙏🙌🙌🫡🫡🥺🥺😔😔🥲🥲That experience hunt me till today RIP lil one I’m sure you will be missed.😔😔🥲🥲🙏🙏

Amil Khan you literally do NOT have to post a picture. You could easily post a description and if the owner thinks it’s their pet, they message you and ask for a picture.

Boyd Annie I know you are upset, but unfortunately how should we help find the owner? We have to post pictures plus information where it was found. I’m so sorry I’m working with animals and it breaks my heart too, but I need to take pictures or asked animal lovers communities so help find the owner. It is hard I know 🥲🥲😔😔

All I can tell you is that it broke my heart to find him. I did the best I could and went back and put a bright yellow hand towel partially on him so the owners might find him. I called and reported it to 311- Sac County. I did what I thought I would want if my dog had been hit by a car and . I did not mean to offend anyone.
