Message from Finder

This sweet girl was mornfully and loudly crying Tuesday evening near our hse. We drove up the road to see what the sound was and found her walking on the road. We stopped and she ran to us - obviously scared and lost. She was covered with fleas and dehydrated. She has been bathed (free of fleas now) fed and watered and has a comfortable place to sleep. She is very friendly and is missing her family. The vet's office did not find a chip. She has had pups sometime in the past. Her nails have been trimmed. She is well behaved and seems to be comfortable in a crate and on someone's lap. Someone must be missing her. ♥️

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… For found animals Please take him to check for a microchip it’s free @ any Vet,Pet store etc. … Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… There is always the possibility that a neighbor may have taken your “Fur~Baby” in thinking it was abandoned… Report any animal missing or found to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters…

At least she has been found and taken care of it sounds like somebody was not taking care of her I am sure that they are reaching out to find her owners Thank you for taking care of her

Watching Sec. 4-16. - Keeping stray animals; failure to surrender. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person in the county knowingly and intentionally to harbor, feed, keep in possession by confinement, or otherwise, any animal, which does not belong to him or her, unless he or she has, within 24 hours from the time the animal came into his or her possession, notified the Johnston County Animal Services. Upon receiving notice, the Animal Services shall take possession of the animal. (b) It shall be unlawful for any person to refuse to surrender any stray animal to an authorized representative of the Johnston County Sheriff's Office or Animal Services upon demand of the representative. (c) It shall be unlawful for any person or organization to accept any animal that is stray or where the owner has no proof of ownership of said animal. (Amend. of 5-1-2023)
