This was in my backyard around 12:45 AM near Murphy Canyon military housing area. Not sure if this is your cat or not, but thought I would share just in case.

Put some laundry on the porch so he can smell home and check for Sonny as often as possible set alarm to look for him between 2:30/3:30 am. He may be close by hiding so grab a flashlight and check under bushes. Good luck
