Ask each neighbour to keep watch on their security cameras as they may have seen him walking through their yard but did not know who to call. Ask them to check in small hiding spots in their backyards as well.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

Put out your worn clothing and his bed / blanket - if he is disoriented, the scent will help him find his way home. Go out in the early hours of the morning and shake the treat bag and call his name quietly. Take a flashlight as his eyes will shine. Crack the garage door and/or house window so he can make his way inside if he comes home. Make posters and flyers and get them up and out asap! Call all the vets and shelters in your area. Hopefully he is microchipped and someone takes him in to be scanned. Good luck, I hope you find him! 😿 PS - When he comes home, would definitely get him neutered asap as when they are intact, they want to desperately go out to mate.

A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as (Click on the link www.catsinthebag.org itself.) Get signs up (not everyone uses fb, and the more eyes looking the better) and file a lost report with Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too. And here is some helpful info: https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ Post on Neighbourhood/community groups, and be sure to also do a post on the fb group ‘Toronto Lost and Found Cats’
