LOST DOG (This is pre-typed for Waxahachie. Search for local Lost/Found pages) There are a handful of things you can do. On Facebook there are several lost/found pages to post on "The Way Home For Lost And Found Animals - Ellis County Area" and "Ellis County Animal Lost & Found-ReHome-Buy-Sell-Trade" and “Waxahachie, TX - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets” Some are a closed groups, but if you mention you have a lost dog they’re usually quick to accept and you’ll be able to post on them. Be sure to check the listings for your dog, both lost AND found. People will list a dog they found as "Lost" because it's a lost dog! Do this first thing, they’re great sites. Then share one of those links on "Waxahachie Talk" & "Waxahachie Buzz" Ellis County Sherrif Animal Control has a page they post to when taking picked up animals to ECSPCA https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087592075849 Call Animal control in Waxahachie TODAY and everyday for a long time. Ask if you can post a 3x5 index card with the lost info. If they vaguely say they might have a dog like him/her go in, don't trust them to decide if it's him/her. Check the Found Pets in Ellis County site. Post signs There’s also no such thing as too many lost dog signs. Lots of people aren't on Facebook {just LOST DOG, photo ,or brief description his name, your phone number REWARD (don't say how much, doesn't have to be a lot) might keep someone from keeping him/her.) Place at entrance/exit to every neighborhood you can. (get poster board at walmart) at every at street corner neighbors might use to exit the neighborhood. Post them as far out as you're willing to go. A dog can run a very long way in a short amount of time. We found our dog 5 miles away. You should also go to any/all local vets with a 3x5 index card with his lost info. You can also put a sign on all three sides of your car (with paint) and maybe ask the neighbors who have the closest houses at the corners if you can place a stake with a sign in their for a week. You promise to remove it in a week or they can take it down when they choose. Also, (I have no clue the cost, but worth checking out) Someone on Nextdoor posted this, "Thanks to the expedient, professional, and caring service from Bonnie Hale and her scent dog Idabell our boy (their cat) is home safe and sound!" I've seen several success stories recently. Contact info: http://www.lostpetspecialist.com/ There are other "trackers" this is just one that I know of. PLEASE keep us updated.

If you are seeing this please put his bed and a shirt of yours on your porch. He might be nearby to pick up your scent and follow it back home. Put water bowl out too. 🙏🏻
