Message from Owner

Our poor Moe escaped his climate controlled out building while in the acclimation period after moving to a new area. He wanted out so bad but is not yet familiar with this new area and is likely lost and scared. He is aggressively affectionate with those he is attached to but probably won’t approach unknown people. This is breaking my heart, not knowing where he is or if he is suffering. He is microchipped and registered so I’m holding out hope he will find his way back to us, somehow.

Cats tend to return to the point of exit in the overnight hours within the first 24-72 hours. Be looking for him at these times. If possible leave the point of exit cracked open so he can re-enter if he returns .

Look at night with a flashlight while calling his name. Look especially under bushes and in neighbors yards garages and sheds. Look up in trees, Leave something outside with his scent on it like his bedding. Leave something outside with your scent on it like an unwashed piece of clothing. Leave out smelly cat food. Hang signs with his photo. Call and visit local shelters and veterinary offices. Good luck!🍀

They are usually closer than you think, scared/hiding (unless not fixed). It can be over a week before they venture out for food. Don’t rely on neighbors seeing your missing kitty posts. Dawn and dusk when it’s quieter are good times to go looking and softly call for your cat. *Live traps work well but must be monitored often. Talk to all neighbors and physically check yourself all surrounding sheds, garages, under bushes, and decks (5-house radius). Give your mail carrier a pic with phone # on it. Check and post on Nextdoor, PawBoost, PETFBI, and Petco Love Lost. If they come back, chip and clip if not already done. 🐱
