I’m not sure who the owner is-I posted on a Cary group chat that there was a black cat around the Cary Glen Blvd area yesterday at 8:45 pm (last sighted). The description says this cat is shy but this cat was so friendly and came right up to me. It was right outside the Crowne at Cary Park. It’s a long ways for this guy to go but it was a sweet little black cat. If it’s not the same cat I apologize, but it’s relatively close by and does match most of the description. I hope you find him!

My personal experience has been first securing other cats in another closed-off room, dimming/turning off most or all inside/outside lights and — if safe to do so and should be supervised — leaving doors (especially door/window escaped through) open/ajar in the very early morning (basically, need to camp out in room where door is ajar). (Cats have a keen wide-ranging/radius sense of smell; therefore, it is so important to get their familiar “home” scents into the airwaves.) Every time, my little escape artist has come bolting through the door between 3:00 — 5:00 AM. (NOTE: When he’s escaped and door is closed, he panics and takes off again — it is important they have a way in once they come out of hiding and make a mad dash for home.) Hopefully, if not used to being outdoors, LINK is very close by just scared to come out until it’s really dark and really quiet. Prayers for a quick safe return !!🙏🏻

Praying your sweet kitty is safe and will return home soon or someone will help reunite with your family 🙏🐾💕🐈‍⬛💕🤞😔 Keep looking and calling out for him shake some treat/kibble even in the dusk/evening hrs bring flashlight. Make neighbors aware and ask them to check their door ring cameras and continue to check their yards, shrubs, trees, crawl spaces, sheds, garages etc. he may be scared and hiding somewhere. If he’s microchipped make sure his information is updated and accurate with the microchip service and contact his veterinarian also. Check shelters in person and let them know your kitty is missing. Post flyers everywhere with picture and as much of his description/information. Keep checking on Facebook posts of found cats that are lost and people trying to reunite with their families. Post on Pawboost to circulate and let people know in your area that your kitty is missing. Contact other organizations that help find lost pets even with drones and they may have suggestions what you can do. Keep something with his scent like a bed/blanket or something of yours like unwashed shirt/sweater outside on covered porch to help him find home. Don’t give up hope! Sharing this post

Put something unwashed out on your porch that smells like you, a blanket or a shirt. Set a trap with fresh KFC chicken with skin, no bones of course. I hope you find him soon and safe. Is he fixed?
