Dog has a collar but no ID tag. I wasn't able to scan a chip. It has a tye dye/pink collar and appears to have sign of arthritis in the hips.

No chip but I wouldn't take them to that shelter as it isn't a "no " shelter. There's a facility in Oak Park I can use.

can you get dog scanned for chip at any vet or police station. cacc Chicago animal care and control 2741 s Western ave is open 3-630p for stray intake must show a state ID. the eariler you go the better bc if line gets too long they will cut off line. if an owner come forward, ask for proof of ownership and pics. sometimes police can transport dogs to cacc as long as manpower allows
