Make laminated posters with all your information and put one poster on each side of your vehicle if you have one as well and on the back of your car to make your bird is famous as possible and every day you need to be making four alerts on nextdoor.com one in the morning one mid afternoon one late afternoon one at night 🛟if you found a bird and you cannot catch - slowly cover by throwing a dry or even a damp towel on the bird, and that will allow catchingeasier. Post in both Parrot 🦜 911 groups! ☹️Some people do not take all steps fast enough which reduces finding the bird. 1. Contact all veterinarians within a 50-mile radius. Facebook messenger or email them photos of the bird and ask for their assistance. Enlist the help of friends to make additional calls and e-mails. 2. To attract your bird back, place a cage outside at an elevated location, and provide food and water inside. Also, play sounds of the breed to lure the bird out of hiding. Consider placing another friendly bird in the cage as a lure. Remember to check all area bird feeders and transform your cage into a trap by tying a string to the top of a drop door. This way, it can be opened and closed from a distance. If you need assistance, feel free to keep my contact information. I have 45 years of experience in safely recovering loose cage birds. NOW is PLEASE Don’t give up! NOW is the time to act!!! You need to search especially dawn and dusk I’m so sorry! Please post if you have not or maybe you already have a post on 911ParrotAlert. It is international. Please go to the special section in 911ParrotAlert for its 11 page guide how to find and retrieve your lost parrot. Follow their suggestions. Play on speaker your bird’s voice or find on You Tube audio! So many things like call him be out there especially at dawn and dusk when birds are most vocal… Don’t give up hope. Everything they say is valuable. Your baby could be so scared he can’t move. The 11 pages below explain it so much better than I can! They fly up but can’t fly back down in a straight descent etc. Places to contact… talk to mail carriers etc… so much info… Good luck 🙏❤️: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B78YYzbJx75hMmZyM3J1S3ZiLTg/view Praying you find your baby. Don’t give up! 🙏🏼 Hoping he’s saved ASAP! Outside is so dangerous for them. They’re indoor pets only and they need to be in a safe indoor warm environment. Also, post this on the citizen app and the ring app so the neighborhood is aware and alert. Also, put posters around the area. You can also try a bird feeder infront your house to see if it’ll lure him back home. Or play bird noises to locate him and see if he will come. 🙏🏼 WAYS TO CATCH A DOMESTIC BIRD OUTSIDE There are 3 main ways to catch a domestic bird outside. 1st - you can try to throw a large sheet or towel over the bird and secure in a box with breathing holes cut out or a carrier with small barring. 2nd - you can try to catch the bird with either a butterfly or fishing net and secure in the same manner. 3rd- you can try to use a small bird cage with a string attached to one of the doors, with the string keep the door open, place bird seed and water in the cage, once the bird is secure inside the cage , let the string go. This only works if you have time to watch the cage. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B78YYzb

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US https://m.facebook.com/groups/637611853061306/permalink/3648271001995361/?mibextid=Nif5oz To Sunny's owner: We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
