He was last seen over the past 7 days in the Polesworth area and a kind lady has been feeding him but is not able to pick him up as he may be too scared. Any sightings, please contact the owners. Many thanks. X

Missing cat 1. Contact chip company to make sure details are upto date and record your cat as missing. 2. Go out as it starts to get dark and call. You have to keep calling as the cat will be very frightened and it's going to take it time for the cat to gain enough courage to come out of hiding. 3. Notify local vets with a photo especially if not chipped as they only hold for 7 days then the cat goes up for rehoming. 4. Ask neighbours to check any out buildings shed, garage etc 5. Also ask anyone if they could check doorbell and cctv cameras for you. 6. Empty the contents if your hoover in the garden and hang out and bedding the cat slept on. 7. Put out unwashed laundry. Cats are belived to be able to smell upto 4 miles this could help lead them home if they have wandered further. 8. If not neurted or spayed the cat could be further away due to Tom's fighting for territory or if a tom cat missing they could be seeking out a female in season. If a female not spayed missing again could go further a field as being chased by un neurtered males. 9. Post on all fb social media lost and found groups, missing groups and groups upto 4 miles away from home. 10. Leaflet drop in your road asking for help with out buildings and sightings. 11. Put poster up with area and contact details plus a clear photograph. I really hope your cat returns safely. Please message if you have any questions. Kind regards Michelle.

Scatter the contents of your hoover bag around the outside boundary of your home - they can scent their way home from miles away, using the familiar smell of your home. If putting out clothing make sure that it hasn’t been washed so that it smells of “you”. Going out late at night/ early morning when it is quieter and less noise distraction around will make it easier for you to hear each other’s calls. If you are calling for him make sure you do this as you walk towards your home not away from it so that if he follows the direction of your voice you’re leading him home, not further away. Also ask any neighbours to check their sheds/ outbuildings in case he’s been inquisitive and got trapped inside somewhere. If he is an indoor cat he is likely scared and hiding somewhere very close by - look under/behind any items/objects that he may be seeking shelter from - under bushes, behind bins etc. when searching at night take a torch - the light from its beam will reflect in his eyes and you will be able to spot him even if he doesn’t respond to your calls. Put up posters in all surrounding streets and inform the microchip company that he is missing. Really hope you find him soon.

Always best to drop flyers (with photo of cat) through letterboxes around your area asking everyone to open and check their sheds, garages etc., Not everyone is on Facebook so your post will not be seen by everyone. Cats are notoriously nosey and will enter through an open door and get accidentally shut in. Hopefully chip is uptodate. 🤞
