I’ve had three people that I know lose cats and every time the litter box outside the door has been a success! Also never stop calling around the time you normally feed the cat. If you feed your cat around 7 PM then go outside and call for your kitty. Also, if there are any familiar sounds like a treat box that you shake or a word that you say like, “ Time for treat treat” be saying that too as you call out to your kitty. Also, sometimes Neighbors will take your cat in and not realize that it’s a neighbor’s cat so put up some signs with your phone number. Keep it simple and make the print large so that people sitting in their car can see the number. Good clear picture of the cat, “lost cat” at the top in large letters and your phone number in large letters on the bottom.

Awww, this is the sweetest picture. I used to have a cat named Pookie 💙 Cats that get outside don't usually go far. He's probably scared and hiding/seeking shelter nearby. Keep checking under nearby porches, decks, shrubs and in garages and sheds. Best times to search and call for him are at dusk and dawn. Pay close attention to your other cat because she may alert you when Pookie is nearby. When my cat was lost, my other cat would run to the window on high alert whenever he came around. I finally used a humane trap to catch him. Keep putting Pookie's food, water, canned tuna/fishy canned cat food and something with his scent on it outside your door to help him find his way back. Let your neighbors and mail carrier know that he's missing so they can be on the lookout for him. Put flyers up in the area and include a reward. Post on Sylvania/Toledo Lost and Found Pet page to get the word out. Sending prayers for sweet Pookie to be safe and home very soon.
