Milo's Owner Says

I got an unbelievable phone call at 7:15 tonight. A guy called me and told me he had Milo. He said the street name and I told him I didn’t know where that was. He asked where I live and I told him. He was clearly shocked and said Milo was at his hse in Mayodan. Milo had not been home since May 8th. Nineteen days of adventuring or something that we’ll never know for sure. He was 29 miles away. I keep questioning if someone drove him up there and dumped him but it’s also very plausible that he made that trip on his own four feet. He’s skinny, covered in ticks and small wounds (probably where ticks fell off) and scared of all the small movements and noises even inside our hse. When we got the call, the kids and I quickly hopped in the car and made the hour and 20 minute round trip drive. Even with the pictures sent to me by the man who found him, we weren’t going to believe it was actually him until we had our eyes on him ourselves. Milo is sleeping in his usual spot at my feet and I still can’t believe he is home. Truly fitting his ‘Milo the Adventurer’ moniker.
