Message from Finder

I'm at a job site working and he just wondered over. He seemed very hungry so I gave him a couple treats. He's currently just laying on the back porch but hopefully we can get him reunited with his owner before I have to leave.

I was going to take him to my farm with me but I could not get him in the house or the van he was too skittish. I'm going back over there tonight and I will see if I can locate him again and then call Animal control. I'm taking some food with me. He was very sweet and he would just lay two or three feet away from me where I was sitting but he would not get close enough to me for me to get him because he didn't have a collar on he let me pet him on the head and feed him food but every time I would try to coax him into the house or the van it was like he was too smart for it. I'm taking a collar and a leash with me so if I get close enough to him I can collar him.

Thank you for your concern & kindness but especially not letting them just wander off. 🧡 Here are some proven tips to help reunite pups with their humans: Please be sure to make a report to animal control, the animal control shelter is the first place the owners will look for them. If animal control doesn’t answer, leave a message and/or file a report through the shelter’s webpage. If unable to hold for safe keeping and unable to make contact with animal control, call the police department’s non-emergency phone number to have them picked up & taken to the shelter. Do NOT release to run loose again, in hopes they find their way home. Have them scanned for a microchip (animal control & vets will do this for free). Report them to nearby veterinarians and pet groomers; preferably with a flyer including a picture to post. Share in your local neighborhood and/or community group(s) as well as PawBoost and the Neighbors by Ring & NextDoor apps. Post “found” flyers using bright poster board as a backdrop to draw attention Make sure to get proof from those claiming they are theirs before relinquishing custody. Hope this helps! Fingers crossed!🤞🤞
