Message from Owner

Hi all! My big boy Atticus (maine coon mix) went out our doggie door yesterday 5/10 evening before I could grab him and has not been since he got out. We are off of 96th and Lou Drive in Northglenn. He is microchipped, unaltered male, he has a distinct darker orange straight line above each eye, his back was recently shaved, but his fur on his neck and under belly is still long. His canine sisters have moped around the hse all day and watching out the window for him as well as checking our backyard often for him. If you see him please reach out to me, texts are preferred. He is rather skittish so I don't think he would let anyone close enough to grab him. All your help would be greatly appreciated!

Aphrodite-Darlene Underwood I have often wondered the same thing and I've been watching closely when asking and walking my neighborhood. I have seen a few dishes out especially near north nor elementary, yet "haven't seen him" seems to be the recurring theme. I have encountered others that say they too had cats and they went missing never to be seen again. Other neighbors have said a few residents (unsure which ones) do not like cats being out in the neighborhood so much so they drive them out of the county to shelters or a couple of the found their kitties with small pellets or being poisoned that ed their fur babies. Again just what I've been told around my neighborhood when I have been searching for Atticus. So now I'm even more worried, if it's not the coyotes, fox or hawks not I've got to worry about those that hate cats even if they get out once, apparently that's once too many. thank you though I will keep searching for him. I check the shelters btwn 6-12 times a day. Walk the hood at dusk and dawn. Sometimes think someone is going to call the police with this "crazy" lady shining a flashlight shaking his food bin calling his name. I've got out at 2am doing this and haven't found him yet. I sure hope he comes home soon and if someone has him that he escapes or they turn him loose!! He is my fur baby and I miss him so!! Thank you again for the advice, it does not fall on deaf ears.

Emia Kajzeb Do you have any neighbors who feed strays? Maybe walk around and check. Many times that's why cats don't go home for a while. I had a neighbor that did that and no one up and down the block could get our cats home. She'd take their collars, too. They were "her strays." 🙄 When knocking on doors it's a good idea to call for your kitty. A different neighbor of mine claimed he hadn't seen my cat and his dogs wouldn't allow one in the house. Yeah, my cat was in his window staring at me as he said that. I guess he figured it out, because I went home intending to call police and she showed up at the door right behind me. I'm not saying a neighbor has your kitty, but it's a possibly. I hope you've made missing cat reports. These help in case someone won't return your cat, or it gets picked up by Animal Control. Check Shelters often. Daily is ideal, but at least every other day should help. Good luck!!! 🍀🍀🍀🙏🙏🙏
