Message from Finder

My wife and I spotted this dog on our morning walk on July 4th around 9am. Once he finally slowed down, I was able to pet him and gain his trust while my wife ran home and grabbed our old dog’s leash and we walked him back to our hse. He slept most of day and all evening, as I’m sure he was exhausted. There was a storm on the evening before, so I imagine he got out during that time. He’s very sweet, he is not chipped, nor did he have tags whatsoever. All he has was a chain around his neck. He looks as though he is regularly groomed, and his nails are very short, so somebody out there takes care of him.

Jay Brown You're an angel. Thank you so much for helping this dog. So many dogs get lost during fireworks season. Based on your description, I have to believe someone is missing this sweet dog. It may be someone who is not active on social media. That's why I suggest the flyers. I know it's a lot of extra work but it might help ❤️

Please notify nonemergency police. Many people call the police when they lose their dog. Please also post on local neighborhood Facebook groups, the Ring app, Nextdoor, and on For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers*. You might also try putting signs up around the neighborhood.
