Our cat was lost and returned after 12 days. I am sharing the advice that we got in hopes of helping others. We got in contact with 2 tracking places. They suggested that we put out feeding stations that included makerel, water, kibble and your unwashed clothing. Surrond in powder to track pawprints. This will keep them in area. We got trail cameras too. When you know where your cat is eating, you might want to set up a trap. Cover bottom in leaves and make a trail of food with bowl inside. Cover trap with dark blanket. We left our door cracked because I think that sometimes the cat returns but the door is shut. But not everyone can do that. Most cats stay in a 4 house radius and indoor cats usually stay close. 20% of cats come home on own. Go out at 4am and shine light in trees. Check decks, sheds and porches. Talk to neighbors. Put litter box outside. Don't lose hope. Praying and shared
