Praying you find your baby. Don’t give up! 🙏🏼 Hoping he’s saved ASAP! Outside is so dangerous for them. They’re indoor pets only and they need to be in a safe indoor warm environment. Also, post this on the citizen app and the ring app so the neighborhood is aware and alert. You can also post it on pawboost. Or whichever neighborhood app is in your area. Also, put posters around the area. You can also try a bird feeder infront your house to see if it’ll lure him back home. Or play budgie noises to locate him and see if he will come. 🙏🏼 WAYS TO CATCH A DOMESTIC BIRD OUTSIDE There are 3 main ways to catch a domestic bird outside. 1st - you can try to throw a large sheet or towel over the bird and secure in a box with breathing holes cut out or a carrier with small barring. 2nd - you can try to catch the bird with either a butterfly or fishing net and secure in the same manner. 3rd- you can try to use a small bird cage with a string attached to one of the doors, with the string keep the door open, place bird seed and water in the cage, once the bird is secure inside the cage , let the string go. This only works if you have time to watch the cage. Even if you do not find his owner please rescue him and take care of him for the time being so that he’ll be safe. Everyday is very crucial and even if you don’t find the owner you can keep him, find a safe bird rescue / shelter in your area or rehome him to a trusting loving him. But please don’t just leave him there. Please be VERY careful when you have budgies. Their safety and health are priority. It’s very hard to find them when they fly away and accidents can easily happen, they are small and delicate. Windows and doors should be closed at all times. If you ever have a window open it needs to have a secure mesh. AVOID kids and animals near them. AVOID anything toxic like garlic, onions, avocados and chocolate. AVOID teflon cookware because it’s fatal, and avoid any fumes or toxic smells like Lysol, essential oils or perfume spray. A clean environment is a must. Message me anytime if you need any advice. 🙏🏼 Electrolyte recipe you can add to his drinking water to help his immune system from what he went through outside 1 cup water 1/2 tables sugar 1/8 teas baking soda 1/8 teas salt

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. I see 2 budgies in a travel case. Which one is missing? https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FJi9NPGNn/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
