My strictly indoor rag doll cat somehow got out yesterday afternoon. I have no idea how and I’m completely devastated. I got her during my divorce and she is my whole world. She is not used to being outside with loud noises. She is extremely extremely timid. Her name is Nala but she will be terrified and will be in flight mode right now so won’t come if you call her. She is missing from 50th/Clairview station drive/manning northbound. The thought of her being outside and in the storm last night has me sick. If you have seen her at all, even if it’s the news I’m praying doesn’t happen please please message me 😭😭😭

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. Indoor only cats stay very close initially. Search at dusk and dawn.

I know this is not ideal, but if you can, leave your door open a little bit and put out your worn clothing and some food. We did this and our indoor only cat came home in the middle of the night after missing for 3 days.

Look under everything, decks, sheds,stairs and bushes. Leave his blanket or worn clothing outside, and if possible leave a door or a window open. Talk to neighbors, check security cameras, and put up big, bright posters. Call, especially at night with a flashlight to see eyes.
