Their website uses an AI model that will automatically match other listings on other sites, that may match the picture of your missing pet. The Animal Foundation is the central clearing house for lost and found pets and is the first facility to which the Owner will be directed to search for their pet. The Pet Owner has 72 hours to collect their pet at The Animal Foundation before the pet will be placed for adoption. 1. Go in person to The Animal Foundation. They often do not immediately upload new intakes on websites. Some animals may not be listed at all. The Desk Staff often are not aware of all the dogs and cats that are in the kennels. Bring your receipt of the vaccinations that your dog (cat) has had with you when you go to The Animal Foundation to look for your pet. 2. Notify your microchip company that your dog is missing. 3. Email pawboost@pawboost.com - Ask them to add the exact address from which he was lost so that the Finder or a Veterinarian will be able to contact you. Pawboost staff are very responsive. They will make the changes for you. They do not send a confirmation that they have done so. They just do it.

If he is an indoor only cat he will not go far. Usually within a five house radius. He is hiding close by and will be elusive. Walk up and down your neighborhood while shaking your favorite bag of food or treats or whatever brings your kitty running to you at all times of morning , day and night. You may also want to consider using one of those toy laser lights at night to bring your cat out of hiding. Knock on neighbor’s doors and give them a good contact number in case they see him. Very important in case they are stuck in a garage or shed or God forbid even hurt. Not everyone will see your fliers and post. If you have a garage or front door, leave it cracked open just enough for kitty and leave bedding or clothing that has your scent, also leave food and water, but be aware of predators. Remember in most cases, he will be close by, so don’t give up and keep looking. You may want to consider borrowing or buying a humane trap. Be persistent and consistent and most importantly, Don’t Stop Looking! Not all cats will just show up at your door. It took us over a month to get our kitty home with the help of neighbors.
