o neighbors, I am at the olympic club lakeside and we found a bunny under a car - about 1pm todya. fully alive and in good health. We think it got away from the owner somehow. But anyways, it was found by olympic club lakside if ANYONE is missing a bunny, we have him/her. Super sweet little guy, definitely domesticated and not wild. Text me if you are missing your fur baby!!

If found in San Francisco, the best course of action you can take is to drop the bunny off at San Francisco Animal Care and Control. They will check to see if it has a chip, contact the owner on record if it does, and if it doesn't they will place an adoption hold on it and get it a vet check while they list it under their "found animals" page. You can update your post to let people know it is with SFACC, instead of deleting. The unfortunate reality is that most domestic rabbits you find outside are dumped.

For the “finder”, please take it to a local vet so they can scan it (for free) to see if this bun is chipped! Also, be careful who you just “give” this bun too. Unfortunately, people will lie. It’s best NOT to post a pic of the actual rabbit. Just give a description. Then let the “owner” provide a pic of proof. Many buns are dumped. I hope this one finds its way back to its home! If not, there are lots of Bay Area bunny rescues who are NO non-profit rescues.
