Owners - Go back to the location where the dog went missing as the dog will usually circle back to the location where they first went missing eventually. Stay there - in one localized area and set up a scent station using a scent that the dog is familiar with - worn clothing or shoes from the owner. Hang that scent out high so that it can travel and guide the dog back to that area. Post fliers with your contact information and dogs picture in the location that the dog went missing --especially for those not on social media. If the dog is spotted the information can help provide what direction it was traveling. Check with local animal shelters in case he was picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely.

Add the cross streets!! Post flyers. Post to Nevada City and county lost pets groups. Report to shelters, check in person daily, chip company - is he microchipped I hope? Collar with ID tags on? Check cameras, homeless encampments. What were you doing allowing him to get lost in the woods?! Never leave dogs outside unleashed unattended unsecured!! Do better!!! There are all kinds of predators out there!!
