Margaret Morris-Calderon sometimes they transfer them , that cost money if the pet is attacked by a coyote or dog that cost money if the pet going in sick the release it to a vet and still charge you storage when they feed your dog . Our dog came back operated and with a bill maybe it's the way some of you make money and you depend on low income jobs . That's called tax evasion

Edgar Gomez You don’t do your homework. The Microchip is discounted by low-income pet services, discount vaccination services offer Microchips for less. At regular veterinary clinics it costs around $35.00. You can register that microchip number at any registry service for microchips. I registered all my pets microchips at AKC Reunite for $22.00 for life. If my pet is lost I report it first making sure all my pets information is current up to date. I included rabies vaccination dates and by who gave them just encase they end up at the pound. After I report them missing I have the “choice” to pay $15.00 for a BOLO Report to go out to all veterinary clinics and pet shelters 50 miles radius notification of missing. If you are looking for discounts in vaccinations/microchipping/spaying & neutering. Put in search bar name of state, county, spay and neuter assistance 2026. To pull up pages offering to public. If only vaccinations needed and microchipping then enter that instead of spay and neuter. Public assistance is out there you have to look.
