When a cat is lost, they do go to a warmer place and just stay there. A lost cat will get hungry and you should set out cooked chicken and some water. Make sure you have a heated cat house outside near your home. For smells, put the chicken inside with cat nip .. and see if that helps you kitty come home. Food and smells. Also open up a side or back door in your house, put some cat nip and chicken on a plate a few inches inside

Look at night with a flashlight while calling his name. Look especially under bushes and in neighbors yards garages and sheds. Look up in trees, Leave something outside with his scent on it like his bedding. Leave something outside with your scent on it like an unwashed piece of clothing. Leave out smelly cat food. Hang signs with his photo. Call and visit local shelters and veterinary offices. Good luck!🍀

Male or female? The key to a cat if it is not too far from home, only hiding. is open a side or and back door a few inches, and lay a plate of cooked chicken with cat nip.. for smells. Cats find their way by smells. Also, get a heated cat house, shelter outside on your porch with the same smells. keep the light on. god bles your baby and bring her home

Put out something that he's familiar with that carries his scent (a bed, a blanket but NOT a litterbox). CALL FOR HIM IN THE QUIET, STILL HOURS (11pm-7am). THIS IS SO IMPORTANT (5am seems to be the luckiest hour)!!!!!!! Scared cats move around while the rest of the world is still. Put out food in intervals (not at night) when you can keep an eye out. Talk to your neighbors, generally, they don't go far and find an open garage or shed to huddle down. If these suggestions don’t work: lost pet cats may not respond the way you’d expect your beloved kitty to and they may not just come to your calling so be prepared to have to use a humane trap (he will return to himself once he’s back inside) and put signs in your local pet store (if someone takes him in they will need litter and food). I hope you find him 🖤

A few things you can try are: cats are active at night and early morning, walk around the outside of your house/building and whisper their name, do not shout it, the less yelling and excitement the better and then listen for a meow. Also, you can take a flashlight and shine it in bushes and trees to catch a reflection from their eyes. They usually don't stray very far from home. Put his food/water, catnip, and clothing you wore earlier in the day in front or in back of your house, they say cats can smell up to a mile. Do not leave the food out overnight as it may attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood, shake the treat jar and talk to people as you walk and talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals and if they see a strange Kitty around they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc. Cats can disappear for days, weeks, months or longer and return so don't give up!
