Message from Owner

Patches has been in my care since November 2025. He is part of a litter of four and lives both indoors (grge) and outdoors. Patches is a young, slender white cat with distinct gray tabby markings. He has a gray tabby pattern across his head, ears, and forehead, with a white blaze running down the center of his nose and muzzle. His back features large dark gray patches forming a saddle-like marking over his shoulders and upper body, and his tail is a darker gray. He has large, round, expressive eyes that give him an alert but cautious appearance, and a light pink nose. Overall, he has a youthful, attentive look and is easily startled by unfamiliar people. He is 8 months old, neutered, and vaccinated. He is not microchipped. He is a little wild, determined, and adventurous. With strangers, he is skittish and may be easily frightened. He was wearing a blue reflective breakaway collar with a name tag that reads “PATCHES – Please call mom (along with my phone number).” There is no bell on his collar. He has never ventured farther than 100 yards from . On Monday, May 11, he was outside playing in the field next to our hse with his siblings but did not return with them that evening. I have thoroughly searched every accessible area along Lakeview Drive, Lakeside Drive, Turtle Lane, and Lake Forest Drive, as well as West Kingsbury from Turtle Cove to Lakeview. I have also searched down by the dam on Lakeview and in the ravine located approximately 150 yards behind my hse. There have been no signs of him or his collar. I have been searching since Monday evening. He may have wandered too far and become lost. He may be on your porch, under your shed, under your RV, in your woodpile or burn pile (please check before lighting). Or he may have met a different fate. Either way, if you see him or have him, please contact me anytime, day or night via DM. I will be happy to come and retrieve him immediately.

What to do if you lose your Cat 1. Search all places inside and around your house as cats can hide in small places. 2. Shake their treat bag and softly call their name. 3. Search at dusk and dawn with a flashlight as the light will pick up their eyes. Outside they tend to hide under shrubs, under porches, in open sheds & drainage ditches. You can shake their treats while looking outside too. 4. Put something with your scent on it outdoors, on a porch or deck if possible or in a garage with the door cracked. Sometimes the scent brings them home. You can also put out their litter box but depending on where you live, it could attract predators. 5. Post on nextdoor & Ring Neighbors app. 6. Post on pawboost. You can download a free flyer here. 7. Make a lost pet report to all the local shelters especially in areas that have close boundaries. 8. Post on FB Lost & Found Groups 9. Post on PetFBI site and use .org as the ending. 10. If chipped, report to chip company but don’t forget to change status when your cat is found. 12. Ask your neighbors to check their garages and sheds. 13. Last you can rent a humane trap at your local shelter and set it with some tasty food. If you have a lot of predators in your area, you may want to skip this step. Your cat may be coming around the house late at night.
