Serengeti, “Getty” as we call her; is such a good cat. One of her ears is clipped at the tip as she was fixed in March 2020. Doesn’t fight and gets along well with other cats. She has always stayed here at our hse, always in the backyard but for some reason she started going to the front yard in April of this year. She never left the property, was always by the front door and or laying under my vehicle that sits in my driveway. We have cameras and I always check them, didn’t matter what time it was, I always saw her. She’s not trusting of random people. I’ve taken care of Getty since 2013. The last time I saw Getty was around 3:00am Wednesday morning. She was fine.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO CAT BOX OR FOOD. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

I hope you find her. Just one thing to keep in mind: when cats get old and are nearing the end of their lives, they often seek solitude. I’m not saying she has , but it is possible that she has withdrawn on her own. I recently lost a cat, and those are the signs—they start hiding and looking for solitude. Prayers that she comes home.
