Message from Owner

Socks is our 5yo daughters cat. He’s was last seen on Wednesday night (25th) and hasn’t been since. I’m sure that he got turned around and is somewhere close by! He’s a very seeet cat but is scared of cars and people. He takes quite a bit of time to approach new people but he isn’t aggressive. He’s probably hungry because he has not been once since the 25th. Please help us find our boy. If you see him contact us or the humane society immediately. He is chipped but doesn’t have a collar on.

Finding Your Cat: Try leaving dirty socks outside the front door or just inside a cracked garage/shed door if you have one. Sounds crazy but the smell of YOUR socks could help encourage your cat to come back home. Shake food and call for your kitty in the early morning hours after midnight. You won’t have to be too loud (cat ears are incredible), and it can be done intermittently. Always helps to post in multiple local pet pages on Facebook, and to post on Nextdoor dot com to reach direct neighbors. Pawboost dot com offers a service which emails a lost ad to hundreds of people in your area. Petfinder dot com compiles found listings from many shelters & rescues. Check the local humane society in person to see if anyone has brought your cat in. www.HSPPR.org Never give up hope, my neighbor found her cat after 4 months because she posted & shared the lost ad as much as possible. Her neighbors had been caring for her cat and eventually came across one of her posts. Hope you find your fur baby soon 🙏🏼 🐾

Please go out at night after traffic noise has down, shine flash light under bushes and things cat can hide under and also in trees. Check out any green spots looking back at you. Call cat and wait for a meow back. Also start from where cat went missing for a radius of 2 miles, knock on doors and ask in person if they will check sheds, garages, window wells, and other outside buildings for cat. ALSO, put cats bed or an old pair of your tennis shoes to help cat know where your porch is. NOT, a litter box that will attract other animals that may keep your cat away. Scared cats usually don't travel far from where they go missing and will wait for YOU to come find them. Also stop by local shelters and rescues everyother day to see if cat has been. turned in. GOOD LUCK

Lynn Goodwin the cross streets are ridge drive and chism drive! I was going to make posters and go door to door tomorrow. I’ll make sure the phone number is big enough to see, great idea. Thank you!

Please post cross streets. Get out calling kitty's name especially early and late when it's quiet. Search high and low with a flashlight. And put up posters with number large enough to be seen while driving. And post on next door com
