Carrie Biondo ok Iāll take your word for it, I donāt follow orangevale or auburn. This person posting is in west Roseville and I doubt someone is going to drive all the way over here from auburn to get a cat.Read More
There is plenty to keep him fed out there without someone keeping him in their house. Unfortunately there is plenty of wildlife out here to make a meal of him so keep him inside at all times unless in a catio or on a harness walk. I hope you find your fur baby safe and soundRead More
Are you aware there are coyotes in area ? And a serial cat er? Keep cats inside especially at night!
Immediately (NOW)walk area shake treat bag or Bang on cat food can calling for your cat multiple times during the day-and-night especially when it's quiet out. Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meowRead More
Have neighbors check garages and sheds. Have a tree out back? Check that too. Leave your garage door up a little so they can return home to a familiar place. Place a box outside with blankets or even the clothes you wore today so a cat can pick up the scent and make it home. If you are new to this area, have friends keep an eye out at your former home. And please: CHECK THE LOCAL SHELTERS DAILY I hope your kitty makes it back home safe very soon. Please make sure to get your cat chipped once they return, and PLEASE keep them indoors! PLEASE NEVER LOSE HOPE!
LOOK UP! Cats are great climbers and looking for them on the ground only is limiting your search.
Male wanderers tend to stay within a territory of about 150 acres, while females stay closer to home, roaming only about 40 acres. This means that your average male cat is likely to stay within 1500 feet of home, while your average female tends not to go much farther than 75 yards from your door.
Be careful of the lost pet finders. Most of them are playing on your emotions and wanting cash up front.!

TIPS TO HELP FIND LOST PET:
ā Place his/her bedding, your shoes, a piece of your unwashed clothing (such as a sweatshirt, blanket, pillowcases) and food/water outside *if there is coyotes in the area bring the food in at night*.
š«Do not put litter box outside. Putting the litter box outside can attract predators and other cats which might keep your cat from returning homeš«
*Putting out the other items listed above, are scents only your cat will recognize*
ā¼ļø They might be nearby and canāt figure out how to get inside ***IF you have a garage or door/sliding door that can be left open*** Leave the garage/ or door cracked for them and place the shoes, bedding, and unwashed clothing in the garageā¼ļø
ā¼ļøSetting a trap on your porch, in garage or backyard is also a good idea. Many cats go into survival mode when out of their element and scared and may not come to you on their own. Most skittish cats will hunker down and stay nearby so a trap is very helpful as well.
ā Walk around the area calling them calmly early morning and late evening when itās quiet & shake a bag of treats(if they like treats), or can of tuna etc.
ā If he/she is microchipped contact the microchip company to report him/her lost and make sure your contact info is up to date.
ā Hang flyers (use a bright colored board or paper) with picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home.
ā Go door to door with the flyers as well and try to speak with people when handing out flyers.
ā Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing.
