Message from Owner

Please ignore the other post for Hope by the people who wrongfully took her. They lied about their identities as we tried to put Hope up for adoption and find her a loving home, but these people are extremely dangerous. Please if you find Hope, do not contact them or give her back to them!!! Please contact me. Hope has been in my family for 7 years and we will be keeping her if/when found. Substantial reward for anyone who finds her and catches her.

Cats can get trapped in people's garages! She might be trapped! That happened to mine!

Marissa Martino post in Phoenixville Cat Lovers , ask if there's a cat rescue in the area that can help since you don't live in the area. Put some of your parents worn clothing at the area seen and see if there's a person in the neighborhood who can put food + monitor a trap for you, or maybe put trail cameras in the area. Best time to go out if late at night, early morning. Cats generally stick close to the area they went missing from, even if it's a new area.

A bit of a backstory: A lot of people are asking why we put Hope up for adoption. It’s because she was my parent’s cat and both of them are very sick. My mom has Alzheimer’s and my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in April. They had to move into a senior center to get the medical attention that they needed and could not bring Hope with them unfortunately. I also couldn’t take her due to certain circumstances. After speaking with these people who wanted to adopt Hope (we exchanged messages and calls for almost an entire month), I was so sure that I found Hope a loving home. Unfortunately, the people who took her lied to me about everything— who they were, their capabilities of taking care of a cat, the living situation etc. I am so upset that I trusted these people. Hope escaped their house the same day she was taken on Friday June 12th and they didn’t even tell us that she was missing until Tuesday June 16th. Four crucial days where we could have been looking. My husband and I have been on a search and rescue mission for a week now.. every day, we have walked up and down every street of the area where she’s been seen by neighbors. We’ve set traps with her scent from blankets and her favorite foods, which were out for a few nights. We removed the traps yesterday after only catching a few angry raccoons and a neighbors cat. Since Hope is so unfamiliar with the area, she has no way of finding her way back home (my parents house where she lived is all the way in Delaware county.) if you see her, please try to call her name in a higher pitched voice, or shake some treats if you have them. If you can possibly catch her and put her in your shed or garage until we can get there (we live 45 min away) we would be eternally grateful. We will repay you for all of your efforts. Thank you so much to all of you. The Phoenixville community has been truly amazing and so supportive.
