Tips Cat Lost Preventative Congratulations! The following are safety tips I share with others so ignore what doesn't apply. If you haven't done so already, update top of post(s) with "Found" or "Reunited" so all shares will update as well. Share in comments, if you choose to and didn't already, how he or she was found since it may help others. Here are suggestions to put a preventative plan in place. Make sure your cat doesn't have access to doors when people or children are coming and going - use gates or put in a separate room with litter to secure him or her. Figure out what caused the escape and how to correct it. You may want to have your cat vetted after being found especially if he or she was gone for an extended period of time. If not spayed or neutered, please have it done since unaltered pets are more likely to run away or get chased out of their territory, especially males. A microchip whose registration is active and information is up to date and checked by a vet on regular visits to confirm it’s still readable is an extra level of protection if your cat were to get out again and be found by a neighbor, rescue, or brought to a shelter to get scanned. Keep indoors only as indoor/outdoor cats have half the life expectancy as indoor only cats due to outside dangers such as cars, toxic chemicals, locked in sheds or other places, predators - neighborhood dogs, hawks, foxes, coyotes, etc. - as well as other dangerous situations. Happy to hear you are reunited❣️

I recommend https://www.facebook.com/share/1BGA7KKjR2/?mibextid=wwXIfr on Facebook to you. They track both pets and livestocks with chip and those that are not. They found and brought back my Ziko.
