Marisol Meyer for future reference Tropicana Animal Hospital on Tropicana and Eastern is open 24/7, and the Emergency Vet clinic at 3340 Patrick Lane (and Pecos) opens every night at 6pm. There are also volunteers with scanners that can help with folks who can hold for a short while at least. I mention this only because sometimes when the shelter is SO the shelter has to "euthanize for space ". Which can mean even if the owners claim these two, if it takes a while, another dog that has been in the system longer may lose its life because there just isn't enough room for them all. Even the shelter site pretty much begs finders to try and find owners on their own first so the system only gets used as a last resort. I am NOT saying that no one should ever get a found dog into the shelter, as its better than just letting them run free, just to try and get pups scanned first 😢

Eve Colombo really?!?! You think we didn’t think that 1st I called several them after 6pm all closed I even called the emergency animal clinic they told me call animal control. So calm down. They’re safe not on the streets

They were picked up by Animal Control and it appears that both dogs have microchips because they are showing real names! "Duce" is the all black male, https://24Petconnect .com/DetailsMain/LSVG/A1367101 and "Petunia" is the female with the brown snout https://24Petconnect.com /DetailsMain/LSVG/A1367104 Both dogs are "fixed" so an owner should be able to pick them up immediately! In the future, if anyone finds a stray dog PLEASE take them to any nearby vet for a FREE scan to check for a microchip. No appointments necessary and it only takes a few seconds to scan. Had this been done Petunia and Duce could've been saved the scary trip to doggy jail!
