❗ Please put out a dish, not a can of fishy wet food,or tuna outside near the escape area, get a minicamera and point it at the food,so you can watch from your devices what animals go up to the food,if you see your cat, later,or the next night, set a humane trap and put the food inside, put the minicamera inside, attached to the ceiling at an angle pointing down so you can see what animals go inside the trap. You can rent a trap from your local animal shelter, rescue, from a Harbor Freight, Lewis Rents, or a tractor, feed and supply store, put a towel over the trap. Put the cat's unwashed towels outside on a hanger on a windowsill,a deck, a step out,a fire escape, and put the cat's owner's,or favorite person's unwashed clothes outside on a clothing line,or a hanger on a windowsill, deck, porch, the scent will travel and help guide the cat back home. When you're done with the items, don't shake them out,put them in a bag, and wash all items before using the items again,to reduce the possibility of psittacosis.
