Joyce Pietrowski Smith that’s true, because not everyone realizes. However, they still won’t find their pet or get answers they need unless they go to PRAS.

Joyce Pietrowski Smith the SPCA is not part of Animal Control and doesn’t take strays. The Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter on Jefferson across from Briarfield Rd. works with AC and takes strays from surrounding cities/counties up to York County and then they work with Heritage Humane to Williamsburg.

File a found report with Animal Control, the owners may be looking for the dog there. Then they will have your contact information if you’re containing the dog.
