The Animal Foundation does ask the Finder, if possible, to house the pet, short term, until the Owner can be located. Call one of these Animal Protection Services to alert them that you have the dog. You will be transferred if the call belongs to another area: 1. Clark County - 702-455-7710 2. City of Las Vegas - 702-229-6444 then #2 (They often are unable to answer their phone. Ask the dispatcher to take your message and forward it to them.) 3. North Las Vegas - (702) 633-9111 Very important: Pawboost offers that you can print Flyers to post around your area. Check your posts often to see that they have not been removed. You also can hand print "lost" flyers around your area. Check often to see that the flyers have not been removed. Make a listing on “Petco Love Lost”. petcolove.org/Upload the photo of this pet. Their website uses an AI model that will automatically match other listings that may link the picture of this FOUND pet. Notify The Animal Foundation: 655 N Mojave Road, Las Vegas, Animal Foundation hours are 11AM-7PM Tuesday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. Call (702) 760-7387 for help! Or: (702) 955-5932 ext. 932 Email: lostandfound@animalfoundation.com - The Animal Foundation is the central clearing house for lost and found pets and is the first facility to which the Owner will be directed to search for their pet. The Pet Owner has 72 hours to collect their pet at The Animal Foundation before the pet will be placed for adoption.

The dog probably lives very close to where you found him. Please start knocking on doors, mist get proof of ownership. 🐾FOUND DOG PROTOCOL- Follow the Law KNOCK ON NEIGHBOR’S DOORS IMMEDIATELY. 🚨MUST get proof of Ownership! Please report to local police and animal control as owner has probably made a lost pet report. This is a law. Finders must report a found pet. 🐾Just remember Found Animals can’t be re-homed by you. You have to make an effort by law to find the owner and if not turn over to Animal Control who will take to the shelter your town contracts with. ⬇️ Please knock on your neighbors door up to two miles, although not all dogs run far when they get out. Hand them Found Dog flyers. Get proof of ownership before you hand the dog over! Proof of ownership is: Multiple pictures from their phone of them with the dog or the dog, dog’s name, Vet receipts. Please also check the Facebook lost pet pages local to your town. You can also take to a Vet for free service of scanning for a microchip. Please do everything you can to find the owner because once animals go into the “system” when animal control is called there is only a 7 day hold period before they can legally adopt out. Going into a shelter places a tremendous amount of stress on an animal and because of the stress they are prone to biting as it’s their only defense mechanism. Thank you for helping! Animals choose their rescuers. We can’t let them down.

Drive around 20 minutes and you’ll find dozens more. They don’t give a about their dogs in that area.
