Posted in local Facebook pages, as well as nextdoor. This male (unsure if intact or neutered) kitty has been coming around my yard lately, neighborhood off royalty between center and swegle in NE Salem, Oregon. Has a wonky left ear. Been feeding him for a few weeks, and finally today (June 29) I was able to lure him into a spare room in my home, where he is now safe with access to food, water, litter box and warm bed, while I work on getting him comfortable enough with me, to be able to get him checked for a chip. While I was out of town this past week, my partner noticed his right eye seems to be having issues. This is a new development as of around June 23rd, give or take a day. So now there's an extra urgency to get him to a vet, as well as finding his owners. Hoping a chip is found and he has a loving family looking for him, and willing to pay to get the eye fixed. He still considers me a stranger danger, but he did walk himself into my hse and into the bedroom I now have him in. But I have other cats, so I need to find his home soon.
