Description

Ginger, Male, Unneutered, Not Chipped, No Collar

Message from Finder

This friendly young chap first turned up a few months ago playing with my cat in the garden but he looked healthy so I wasn't concerned (except for him not being neutered). Over the weeks he became a regular visitor to the garden but was losing weight and occasionally had cat bite wounds, so I scanned him for a chip and couldn't find one. I put up posters (no response) and started feeding him (he was helping himself) and lined up a very good home for him (with my sister) but typically on the day I was planning to keep him in for her to collect he disappeared. He turned up yesterday (16/08) after a few weeks still unneutered and not chipped and very hungry, but I'm wondering where he might have been and if he does have a home/someone else is befriending him to home him. I'm on the corner of Sunfields Place/Old Dover Road SE3 so he must hang around near there, or possibly over the road near Sun Lane. Any info gratefully received so that I either know he's being take care of (and we can have a chat about neutering etc) or I can carry on with getting him homed with my sister. Thanks!

Please be careful who comes forward to collect this kitty get proof of ownership pics paperwork etc as there are some nasty people out there that use them for dog baiting if possible try to get someone to come and scan for a chip so rightful owners can be notified.

Sara H I wouldn't waste time on another paper collar myself. He's not chipped or neutered and you said he was losing weight and had bite wounds so I would go ahead and let your sister rehome him. Being unneutered he is having a rough time, bless him.

Sara H Sadly I think you'll find that all rescues are full to bursting and overwhelmed. No chip and not neutered, I would think this little ginger is a stray and since he's been around since 1 June I would rehome him with your sister without delay so he is neutered and has a loving home asap❤️

Louise Randall I did try a paper collar, lasted a couple of seconds! Will try again though.
