If you been contact and they haven't picked the dog up. I'd say they dont want it. Give them a certain amount of time to retrieve. Then let someone else have if they dont

Berni Wathen if you're interested in a small dog, I suggest reaching out to the rescue Bark Bark Wag Dog Rescue. They specifically rescue small dogs. They are always looking for foster homes and for people willing to adopt.

Thank you for helping this dog. Unfortunately, the system that Pawboost has set up, makes it somewhat difficult to reach owners. I recently helped reunite a dog that had been posted on Pawboost. Several of us were concerned and wanted to help reach the owners. After several days, multiple messages and posting on every site we could think of, we did reach the owner. As I suspected, she was older, unfamiliar with social media and was beyond grateful to get her dog back. When I pulled up to her home with her dog, she was standing outside eagerly and was crying. It turned out that she and her husband had had this dog for 11 years. They missed her very much. Please post on For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers*, Lost and Found Pets Detroit, Nextdoor, and the Ring app. I also suggest looking for local neighborhood, Facebook groups and posting in those. You might also try making signs and putting them up in the area where the dog is found. The signs can be simple and state something like, "found Yorkie" and your phone number. Please be beware that you may get some scam calls from people claiming that this is their dog. Please make anyone prove ownership. I'm sure you are also aware that many people will want this dog for themselves as has been demonstrated here in the comments. Have you had this dog scanned for a microchip?
