Shanie Torres Unless stolen, a typical house cat doesn’t go far (like 7-9 house). Mine was just a few minutes from the house on a side street. She never crossed a street in her life till I accidentally closed the front door on her after I was looking out at the night sky. Discovered her missing the next morning, her 15th birthday. Many of us know what you’re feeling. Keep looking, calling, searching. I hope for the best.

Shanie Torres Mine went missing for a week! A neighbor friend posted on all the local missing pet websites, Humane Society after a laminated poster was made to post on utility poles. I posted door-to-door all through the neighborhood, bars, etc. That all led to texts and calls. A house cat usually doesn’t go far and I got info on sightings and finally saw her myself. A cats adrenaline level (fight or flight hormone) goes up and they won’t answer or show themselves till they feel safe. One person that got a poster had a night camera that was a big help. I had her back in exactly a week. Don’t give up. Keep looking and posting.
