Maria Wood so the vet has allergy . Allergy shampoos, and allergy shots. The dog should NOT look like that.

So that dog needs skin treatment..either has mange or allergies and needs an ownet willing to pay the vet bill to fix the problem.

Melissa Hogg Let's play a game. Yes we all can see there is an issue with the skin, BUT heaven forbid someone maybe facing a hardship, or this dog was/is a stray that they are working on getting care for either via a rescue or their own accord. It's so quick to judge and think you know before facing the facts, stop acting like you know all this. I also don't see you offering help in any way other than posting your opinion

Melissa Hogg I’m hardly part of the problem and there is a whole ass community of people out there that would agree..Fact remains you know nothing about “the owner” anymore than me to be able to make a judgement call on the owner and the care of this dog.

Maria Wood i worked at a vet for 15 years. Please. As well as have had my own pitbulls. What a joke you call that "issues" when it is obvious that it is neglect. Making excuses for this treatment makes people like you part of the problem. I said what I said and stand by it.

it is very very possible that this dog has skin allergies which is very prominent in pitbulls. I’ve seen it several times. Does not mean the owner is crappy. It takes time for this to heal and ongoing at that. Maybe the owner is currently treating this dog or maybe the owner needs a little help getting treatment and needs resources. So yeah finding the owner would be ideal in this situation so that maybe kind enough people out here can assist or give them resources for help if needed.
