Mary Sinacore you can’t just take the dog; the woman claims it’s hers. However, this is an expensive breed so I’m not sure how it is possible. We filed a 311 report and from what I understand the officers would be the ones checking the dog for the chip. I don’t think we can do anything ourselves unfortunately.

Savannah Hinde-Seeley looks like a labradoodle which I doubt a homeless person would have the funds to buy. The dog needs to be checked out as owners could be looking for him.

Savannah Hinde-Seeley I’m sorry but I’m very concerned for the dog’s wellbeing. We shared the information with anti cruelty and they agreed that this needs to be investigated. The dog running on a street almost hit by a car and then the woman shaking her and yelling at her is not an assumption but a fact.

Travel itineraries Travel itineraries That is a lot of accusations to share without providing this person any benefit of the doubt nor resources. This person has now been accused of being an animal abuser, stealing a dog that is not hers, and has been accused in other comments of literally injecting this dog with heroin because of the assumption that all homeless people must be doing drugs. Let alone the photo shared of her. I would be mortified to have a picture of myself shared around the internet, strangers commenting on my disability and speculating my gender. I am sure she did not return to this space today because people are harassing her and seeking her out now due to a viral post. I would be terrified to leave my house if people constantly were seeking me out and offering cash to buy my companion. Terrified. In cases like this, we have to meet people with nonjudgement, without overreacting and without spreading rumors.
