Dear guardian, please don't stop putting out food with camera aimed so you receive movement notifications and video clip recordings sent to your phone; For another lost cat case we got a potential sighting of lost cat 'Moody' but no photo. Just in case , I went to 47th AVE between balboa and Anza and got a nice neighbor to allow me to put wet food bowl with camera aimed (using his wifi even) there were 2 hungry cats who ate the food (the guardian replenished the food at 10pm after seeing cat #1 eat all of it poor thing) ...I plan to print 'spotted cats' flyers for these 2 cats and post them on the streets and door to door and continue putting out food for these 2 cats who could be LOST or abandoned. The guardian continues to leave wet food bowl nightly too . Continue to replace worn out FLYERS on lampposts (people have very short memories and need to be reminded) PRINT NEW FLYERS and start on your block and continue 1 block at a time expanding outward. 1-2 hours a day will get you very far. **ALSO, we just used this postcard service to help get a sighting of a cat lost for months : https://lostpetcards.com/ They will send color postcard to the nearest 1000 residents or nearest 5000 (depending on how much you can afford to spend) I've used this service 4 times for various lost cats in the last 7 years so far because it's a quick way to get a nice postcard to neighbors asap (I add $$$ REWARD for a PHOTO of kitty on the postcard)- because people get it wrong all the time and a photo confirmation changes everything. Once there is a sighting then I would do what I am doing right now for a non-photo sighting - which is to go to that street location and knock on doors and find a nice neighbor who will allow me to place a camera aimed at wet food bowl placed inside an UN-SET trap to catch kitty eating the food and getting used to going inside the un-set trap. Once that happens then the next = trapping night where you set the trap and watch from inside the car (STAKE OUT) until kitty returns to eat and gets trapped while I'm there to quickly cover the trap and calm kitty down. Praying for a sighting of your sweet kitty. remember that even confident cats (at home) ONCE outside they will not go up to anyone - they continue to hide from humans and are very cautious in general not being home. This is why we have to keep reminding neighbors kitty is missing /hiding and to keep their eyes out and check RING cameras on an ongoing basis. Sending you love and continued determination ❤️ damia
