I have been seeing this sweet baby run around the cndmniums for a little over a week now. Definitely a hse cat as it looks to be well fed. unknown. White stripes on end of tail and a mostly white belly. Extremely friendly but skiddish. Started following me home but ran off after being spooked. No collar

UPDATE*** 8/16 I haven’t seen the sweetie pie for 2 nights now. Last interaction was Friday night when these photos were taken. I have since acquired a microchip reader. The goal with this is to scan them without the need to trap and transport. Since it took a decent amount of time to gain some trust, I don’t want to break that if I don’t have to. Should I not find a microchip I will then start the process of capturing and heading to the vet for a formal scan since chips can migrate over time. While I’m excited to be chosen by the distribution system, I don’t want to take someone’s fur baby away from them. That is the reasoning behind my process. Yes everyone keeps telling me to trap them immediately but that’s not how I do things. Let’s say I immediately went to trapping them, the first attempt fails and they take off from being scared. That runs the risk of them running into the road, running to a new territory they’ve never been…where they can come in contact with someone that isn’t nice to animals. While they are outside, they are currently in an area where it’s being fed and watered, no one is being mean to them, the area has a bunch of fluffy bushes and trees where they can seek shelter and hide, they’re in a place where someone (me) is monitoring them. I want nothing more to bring them inside so they can live the lavish life they deserve, there’s just safer ways to go about that in my opinion. I will post updates as they come in.
