Lois Haynes Yeah, I thought the same thing too if she isn’t chipped. I thought she belonged to one of the houses near me and I went over there, but their dog just looked similar.

I would try walking her around the area. She looks to be a senior and may live close by. Jacksonville humane society on Beach Blvd would be the best option for her if nobody claims her. They have a small dog puppy room so she won't be put in with big dogs.

I will keep her overnight and take her tomorrow morning to see if she has a chip. If not, what’s best option — call pet services to see if they can pick her up? Or would anybody be willing to help foster? I truly cannot keep her more than a couple days. I would if I could but I’m swamped with my Dads house renovations as he recently passed. I maintain the home but have to move out soon. I’m also taking his 3 cats and tryin to home 3 young fosters. But I couldn’t let her keep wandering the streets. She was hot and hungry.
