Cats will hide in silence when injured. Look under bushes, decks, sheds. We found our cat after 3 days under a neighbors deck across the street and two doors down.

Go out at night with a flashlight and quietly call it's name and look for it's eyes. If you do not find him tonight, rent a trap and set it up with smelly food and something that smells like you and check it every hour.
