Gray cat with a broken tail. (He’s a rescue)

Message from Owner

Hello, I have a missing Coco for the last week. He went missing on Tuesday, July 7 around two in the morning. His background story is that he was rescued from a 20 to 30 foot light pool that news was posted on Nextdoor and I ended up rescuing him. We ended up keeping the cat and he had a broken tail when I rescued him so we are concerned that maybe he will have to try to look for his owners. The issue is that because of his broken tail it is very difficult for him to do certain stuff. Again, this happened over two months ago, so the owners have not reached out to us at all. We have posted in many times everywhere and when we took them to the vet, the vet agreed that we could keep him as our own pet, so we are currently on the hunt with Coco to come back and so we can keep treating me going on and everything. He is a male. he is a Maine coon mix. He is really sweet and really into treats. He is not aggressive so if you do get to catch him, he will not run away from you. If someone can find him and let me know where he is so I can go pick him up. Key details are has a green color with a bell. The color is star and moons. He has a broken tail and at the very end it looks like a really big furball. He does not meow. He will also do a “ahh” sound. That is his meow.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Please place his bedding 🛏outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a can of tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbo🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Trully 🍀hoping you find your kitty safe and soon .🙏 ❤️🏡🐾
