Check trees, under, in and behind things in your yard and others often. Make your neighbors aware. Please check yours and neighbors garages, sheds, porches, barns and under and in vehicles !!
Since they generally come out @ night...leave A LIGHT ON THE PORCH WITH FOOD and IT'S BEDDING near a CRACKED OPENED DOOR FOR ENTRY....
" RETHINK putting out used litter boxes " !
It has been brought to my attention that it could be used by another cat which could DETURE return or bring in a prediture..
IF it's still something you choose to do leaving it closest to your door for monitoring maybe helpful.
Most successful is using a camera or baby monitor to watch his /her return, using a hav a heart trap with sardines or tuna to catch them !!!
Putting unlaundered piece of clothing in the trap as well
CAUTION: Do NOT leave a trap unattended due to potential danger of Widlife while trap is occupied ! ! Also the possibility the ANIMAL will self harm inside the trap !!
Owners tips...
Retrieved their cat at night when using a flashlight to spot its eyes !
Sprinkling litter outdoors around house or treats, as a trail... Calling for it several times a day and shaking treats indoor cats can become disoriented..RECOGNIZING YOUR VOICE AND DIRECTION!!
Cat was found under seat of neighbors truck.
In house in a drawer...open drawers slowly !!
Please DO NOT give up !!
Be aggressive & persistent rechecking all areas mentioned & keeping an eye on "FOUND " posts including Craigs List.... www.Helpinglostpets. com Pet Finders etc...
