Is the dog microchipped? If so, you should take him to the shelter if the owner doesn't contact you soon. The owner may be checking with them. They are open today.

No they do not. If a pet is microchipped and the finder cannot get in touch with the owner, they do want the pet to be taken to the shelter. This is Montgomery County

Montgomery County Maryland Lost Pets They end up ing dogs to make space. They can take the dog to any vet to just get a chip read .
